Historical Disney Princesses - Rapunzel

I wanted to take on a personal project that involved some of my biggest interests - costume design and historical costumes. :) I'm aware that I am definitely not the first person to do this, but I really wanted to try doing my own designs on the theme. :D
I decided that since Princess Aurora will have medieval attire, a different era was needed for Rapunzel. I chose the 1630's (the publication date of 'Petrosinella', an Italian version of the Rapunzel tale.) Her sleeves in the film could be interpreted as the classic paned (slashed) sleeves that are a prerequisite for olde worlde costumes. :D
The dresses of the 1630's were very voluminous, with a high waistline. The colours are probably not that accurate, but I wanted to incorporate the colours of Disney's Rapunzel into the design. I also added some embroidery to her bodice and overgown, because I think she would have embroidered them herself, what with all that free time she has up in her tower. :D
I used Rubens' paintings of Venus as a reference for her hair.
